What do you want to know?
Stephanie grew up in the great Mitten State just north of Motor City, also known as Hockey Town, or for you southerners, Detroit. After one too many long winters, her family migrated to the Live Music Capital of the World, also known as the very eclectic and self-titled “weird” city of Austin, Texas. She has called Austin home now for the past 13 years. She is surrounded by an amazing family, husband, daughter and a new baby boy due in February. And let’s not forget her adopted dog with the biggest ears you’ve ever seen.
Photography piqued her interest in high school and college. She studied Photographic Technology at Austin Community College and grew very skilled in the digital darkroom. This sparked an interesting romance with anything to do with pixels. Whether in print or on a screen, Stephanie’s designs make her clients look good.
It’s hard to say exactly what gets her fired up, but she knows inspiration when she sees it. A new recipe? Sure. Crazy architecture? You bet. A funky song on the radio... if it gets her toe tapping, of course. She’s not too quick to jump on mainstream trends just because. But gosh darnit, she has an open mind and she thrives on learning new skills quickly.
Stephanie is a very behind-the-scenes person. Her biggest gratification is knowning her clients are beyond pleased with something she designed. Her mild obsession with detail comes in handy, as well as her hidden talents for writing music. It helps her think beyond the design; how things flow and function. It’s not enough just to look pretty. It has to work, too.
She has recently traveled to New Zealand, South Africa, Zambia and England to expand her world view just a tad. She loves learning about other places cultures – preferably not from a book. There are plenty more destinations on the map (and on her bucket list) in need of exploration.
If you simply must know more, check out her online resume or give her a shout. Otherwise, enjoy browsing her portfolio or follow her on Pinterest!
