About John Hamm

I enjoy being outside, preferably by water, fishing, grilling, plant-life, number-crunching, insightful strategy and good design. I have worked in the graphic arts field since 1966 as the owner of Service Typesetting, the largest hot type plant in Austin from 1966 to 1982. With the advent of computerized typesetting, the firm evolved into a full-service print company with a full staff. In 1986, the firm was reorganized into John Hamm & Associates, a graphic design studio specializing in print production. Based on client demand, JH&A expanded into a full-service advertising agency, delivering a full scope of services, including marketing, public relations, and media services.

Achievements

My most fulfilling achievement is that I have been able to remain as my own boss since the day I entered the workforce, and thankfully, have never had to fire myself.
