About Chloe Dao

Chloe immigrated to America with her parents and seven sisters in 1979. She graduated from the Fashion Institute of Technology with a pattern-making degree and learned the art of buying and fashion merchandising while working with Catherine Dietlein in New York. Chloe returned home to Houston, TX in the summer of 2000 as a seasoned industry professional and opened her own boutique, Lot 8, named after the eight Dao sisters, where her collections are sold today.

Chloe was selected as a contestant for Bravo's Project Runway Season 2 in 2006 and competed against 15 designers to show her collection at New York Fashion Week and won! Chloe Dao quickly became a household name and has been featured on major television shows such as The Today Show, Access Hollywood, CNN, The View, and more as well as national and international magazine coverage in major publications such as People, Time, Forbes, US Weekly, WWD, The New York Times and many more.

LOT 8 is named for the 8 Dao sisters who each play a significant role in the company.
